TT300 ultrasonic thickness gauge uses ultrasonic measuring principle, suitable for thickness measurements of any material that ultrasonic wave can spread inside at a constant speed and be reflected on the back. This thickness gauge can test any panel and any processed parts precisely, at the same time can test different kinds of pipes and pressure containers to monitor the thinning degree during the using process after erosion. The thickness gauge can be widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, and shipbuilding, aero***ce and other fields.
Fundamental Principles
Principle of ultrasonic thickness measurements is similar with that of optical wave measurements: ultrasonic impulse from the probe arrives the object to be measured, spreads inside it and be reflected back to the probe; and thickness of the materials can be ***ermined by measuring the spreading time of the ultrasonic wave inside the materials.
